About Us

Canada’s future depends on a highly skilled, STEM-educated workforce to drive innovation and address the challenges of tomorrow. The STEM Camp Foundation is dedicated to inspiring curiosity and igniting a passion for STEM in children as early as Kindergarten, paving the way for lifelong learning and successful careers in these critical fields.

According to the C.D. Howe Institute The demand for STEM professionals in Canada is on the rise, with significant shortages reported in digital and STEM skills amid a tight labor market and increasing need for technology-oriented jobs.

Early exposure to STEM education not only prepares children for future academic success but also equips them with essential skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability, which are crucial in a rapidly evolving job market according to a recent article by School of Education Online.

Mission Statement

The STEM Camp Foundation advances education in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) by awarding grants to teachers and providing bursaries, awards, and scholarships to students at all levels of learning. Through initiatives such as the Send a Kid to Camp program, the Foundation also provides full camp subsidies to children from underserved communities, enabling them to attend STEM Camp and Camp STEAM Canada. In addition, the Foundation supports and promotes excellence in STEM education by encouraging innovation, enhancing access to resources, and fostering high standards in teaching and communication for future generations of Canadians.

Vision Statement

To broaden awareness of and access to future career opportunities in STEM for students of all ages, while expanding our programs to reach communities across Canada. Through initiatives such as the Send a Kid to Camp program, we strive to remove financial barriers and ensure every child—regardless of background—has the opportunity to explore their potential and thrive in STEM and STEAM fields.

By growing our reach, we aim to inspire and equip more students, particularly in underserved and rural communities, with the skills, confidence, and hands-on experiences needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving workforce. Through partnerships with educators, industry leaders, and local communities, we are building a nationwide movement that nurtures curiosity and prepares the next generation of innovators, thinkers, and problem-solvers.
